Charles Lake (my wife's late grandfather) was part of the Dunkirk rearguard and taken prisoner by the Germans.
He spent the rest of the war as prisoner 10657 in Stalag XVIIIB and survived the Long March To Freedom.
He died at home in Norfolk in 1982.
