My father Albert Comley (Bert) served in Royal Gloucestershire Regiment 2nd Battalion and was captured at Cassel, the rearguard action during the Dunkirk evacuation in May 1940,.
He was held in Stalag 8b and made to join the Long March in the freezing winter at the end of the war.
He was released in 1945.
