Mable Eva Chant

Womens Land Army

from:Melbourne Port

My Mother Mable Chant served with the Women's Land Army and had an affair with an American soldier at a Wilbourne dance. On returning to her home, my Grandad chucked her out of the house. Hence I was born in Taunton nine months later. Finally, my grandfather forgave her when he saw me in my pram. My grandfather also chucked my auntie out because she married a Polish Jew
