Thomas Dutton enlisted to the Black Watch in April 1944 and trained at the Carrier Training Centre, Perth, then embarked to India in December 1944 arriving in Bombay in early 1945.
He completed Airborne and Parachute training in India, based in Karachi.
He arrived home in May 1947 and was discharged with Military Conduct "Very Good" in August 1947.
