My father James Coombs was in the Auxiliary Fire Service then when changed he was with NFS. I know nothing about his number or rank and presume he was fireman. I am aware he worked for Kolster Brands at Footscray London, Kent. I remember seeing his helmet after WW2 in a cupboard. That is all the information I have.
