Pnr.Sgt. Jacob "Jack" Curtis

British Army Royal Norfolk Regiment

from:Southwark, London

Jack Curtis (Jacob) was my father born in 1919, died in 1993. He served with the Royal Norfolk Regiment in India and Burma. He was very reluctant to talk about his experiences. He would have been nearly 100 and I often think of him and miss him. He was a very gentle man and I think his war experiences affected him deeply.

I would like to know more about his time in service. There are some photographs of him in India. He was a sign writer by profession and he had something to do with designing and working on the Kohima memorial, there are photographs of a dedication ceremony.
