George Eades enlisted at Dorchester on the 28th of November 1933
His Military conduct was notes as Exemplary at his final assessment in Exeter on 14th of March 1953, he had served 12 years and 98 days.
He served in the UK until December 1934 then in
India until 16th of June 1939, in the area which is Pakistan now, Khyber Pass fighting was mentioned in the past. He then served in
Malta during the siege and moved to Egypt in March 1943. On the 30th of June 1943 he moved to Sicily and returned to the UK on the 8th of August 1943.
He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Italy Star, War medal (1939 -45) but all his medals were nicked, along with everything he didn't have on him by Italians off of a train as they were in the process of moving out, one person put the bag onto the train, a guy on the other side apparently took it out the other side.
