256863 Tpr. Denis Bridges British Army 8th Btn. Royal Tank Regiment from:Flixton (d.9th February 1945) Memories of my brother Denis Connor of the 8th Army Royal Tank Regiment. I was only 14 when my brother Denis sadly passed away, he wasn't my real brother but had lived with my family for some time. I have some documents from pre-1942 but they are so fragile I can't copy them, they include letters that he wrote to my mother and letters from the War Office informing us of his death on 9th of February 1945 in Italy. I have happy memories of him teasing me and play fighting! He is sadly missed and I think of him often.
