Pte Stanley Frank Wilson
British Army 1st Btn Loyal (North Lancashire) Regiment
from:4 Blashford Street Hither Green SE6
(d.23rd of April 1943)
This is the story as I know it. It comes from my mother, who was Stanley Wilson's sister.
Stanley joined the Army in 1940 when he was 18 years old. He served with the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment 1st Battalion until his death, killed in action, on 23rd of April 1943 aged 20 years. He is buried Massicault War Cemetery II. M. 20. Tunisia. Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Wilson, of Hither Green, London.
I believe he wrote letter to his Mum (my Nan) to say he would be home soon. I have added photos so he will be remembered. And rightly so.
