CSgt. James McIntosh
British Army 6th Btn. HQ Coy. Seaforth Highlanders
from:Elgin, Moray, Scotland
My Father James McIntosh was a member of the 6th Btn. Seaforth Highlanders (TA) HQ Company Elgin, Scotland.
He served in Belgium, Dunkirk, N. Ireland, Madagascar, Sicily and Italy before being wounded whilst driving over a land mine.
He spent six months in hospital before returning to Fort George (Depot) as CQMS until the end of the war.
I remember him pulling out pieces of shrapnel from his legs on a regular basis up until he died in December 1965.
