Hubert Bowring served with the 5th Battalion, Hampshire Regiment in WW2. He was taken prisoner in North Africa at Sidi Nasir. After being a PoW in Italy he was transferred to Poland. One record records him as in Stalag VIII b but another records as Stalag VIII a.
