Seaforth Highlanders from:South Shields (d.21st January 1943) Joseph Younger was born to parents Joseph and Isabella Younger, of Simonside, South Shields, Co. Durham and was the husband of Jane Younger, of Ardersier, Inverness-shire. During WW2 Joseph served with the 5th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders and died 21st of January 1943 aged 37 years. He is buried in Tripoli War Cemetery. in Libya. His brother Allen Younger also died in service with the R.A.F. on 22nd of February 1944.
