259191 Spr. Sidney Newell British Army Royal Engineers from:Lofthouse, Wakefield (d.13th June 1945 ) My great uncle Sid Newell was killed, as far as we know, on his way home from Italy. We have visited the grave twice now. He is buried in Arezzo, Tuscany. We would like to find out how he met his end, after fighting his way through Italy. My grandad, his brother told me when he was alive that his brother Sid was sabotaged on a train home. I have his medals which include Africa Star and Italy Star.
