Cpl. Gordon Frederick Adams

British Army Royal Warwickshire Regiment

from:Cardiff

My father, Gordon Adams fought in France from June 1944 until he was captured near Caen, severely injured and having lost a leg. He was located in hospital, I think in Paris, in September 1944 and repatriated to hospital in Basingstoke. He was discharged in May 1946. He was an active member in BLESMA, who fought for my mother to receive a War Widow's pension when he died aged 55.
