Bernard Audoire went missing, presumed killed on the 1st of November 1944 during the Operation Infatuate landings at Westkapelle on Walcheren Island, approximately 60 kilometres from Antwerp, Belgium. Thirty-one of his shipmates were killed in the same action. He was 19 years of age, and his name is inscribed on the Plymouth War Memorial. He was the son of Bernard and Edith Audoire of Sheffield.
