Pte. Ronald Francis Melville
British Army Leicestershire Regiment
from:Croydon
My grandad, Ronald Melville was a prisoner at Stalag IV-F. He was captured in North Africa in no man's land. We believe he was a stretcher bearer as he played the trumpet in the Battalion band. He didn't like to talk about his war experiences. All we know about his time there is that he nursed an American officer and they corresponded after the war. He passed away in 1996.
