Raymond Kenny enlisted in the Royal Navy on 2nd of February 1942 and did his basic training at HMS Raleigh in Torpoint, Cornwall. His last ship was HMS Duke of York. He was in Tokyo Bay for the surrender of Japan, and it is believed
that he was one of the guards who escorted the Japanese surrender party
to the USS Missouri.
