On a recent trip to Fort Nelson on Portsdown Hill in Portsmouth, I found an R.I.P message to Pte Turner from a mate of his in the prisoners' quarters. There were drawings and writing drawn by the prisoners covered over by glass for visitors to read. I've tried getting information on the man but haven't been lucky.
Private Turner served with the 4th Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment in WW2 and died 27th of January 1940
