James Duncan Barlow
British Army Seaforth Highlanders
from:Turriff, Aberdeenshire
My late uncle, James Barlow, was captured at Dunkirk. He spent the rest of the war as a POW at Stalag XXB.
He was born on 4th of January, 1919 at New Byth, Aberdeenshire, the oldest of 10 children. He died on 24th October 2010 at St. Combs, Aberdeenshire.
I remember uncle Jimmy as a very kind, contented man. He was very proud of his roots and the Doric language of his home.
