Gnr. Benjamin Barber Scott
British Army Royal Artillery
from:Northumberland
Benjamin B. Scott was my grandfather. He was taken prisoner of war in Crete and transported to Stalag XVIII-A in Wolfsburg, Austria in 1941. He survived the war but died 4 yrs later as a result of illness and lack of care he endured during his time in the POW camp. My grandmother received a War Widows pension in recognition of this.
