Lt. Hugh Fancourt Streeten
British Army Royal Artillery
from:Tonbridge, Kent
Hugh Streeten served with the Royal Artillery and was captured by the enemy. It seems he lost his first wife whilst a POW.
He remarried after the war and went back the the stockbrokers firm he worked at before. He was finding it hard to normalise after the experience in the camp. In 1949 Hugh died by his own hand. He was found in the back garden at home by his wife, he had shot himself with a shotgun in the head.
