Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve No. 709 Naval Air Squadron, Fleet Air Arm from:Te Kuiti, New Zealand (d.27th Aug 1945) Mathew Farrer is a distant cousin of mine whom I discovered whilst researching my ancestry. His death at HMS Vulture training airfield is recorded on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission site, and he is remembered at the New Zealand Naval Memorial in Devonport, Auckland.
