AB. Arthur Ernest Collins
Royal Navy SS Norman Queen
from:Leicester
(d.8th Mar 1941)
Arthur Collins was lost at sea on convoy FN426.
He was a Royal Naval Gunner on a armed merchant ship SS Norman Queen that was attacked and sunk by E Boat S1 just off the coast of Norfolk.
I believe the Captain was the only survivor of the crew of approximately 12.
He was on his final trip before returning to Royal Naval service.
