Arthur Blaney was the son of Charles and Margaret 'Maggie' (McGlade) Blaney. Born 13th of April 1920 he was 19 years of age when word came that he was missing in action after he was trapped on the Dunkirk Beaches. His body was never found and family verbal history tells that the information given is that Arthur was lost at sea. He is remembered on the Dunkirk War Memorial.
