Charles Edward Griffin was my Father. He was stationed near the end of the war at Coolgreeny in Newcastle co. Down, also at Markethill Co. Armagh. He met and married my Mother, Rosaleen. I have a photo of him outside Coolgreeny House which was the Sergeant's Mess in 1943 Most of those pictured with him were of the 1940 8th Battalion, Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Regiment at the time of conversion
