Gordon Harding was born on 10th of March 1922 and served with the Royal Navy. He was on the crew of HMLCT 124 took part in the Operation Jubilee and he was taken as a Prisoner of War in Dieppe, on 18th of August 1942, by the Germans.
His PoW number is 863 and he was held in Marlag und Milag Nord.
He wrote in the PoW magazine, The Clarion, regularly from March 1943 until his death and was known for his humorous writings about PoW life.
Gordon died in Olbersdorf Lazarett at the age of 22.
His obituary was published in the 17th issue of the Clarion, along with a sad note to the readers.
