Simeon Meaking enlisted on the 10th of April 1941 and trained as a driver with 227th Anti Aircraft Training Regiment. He was posted to 83rd HAA Regiment in July 1941 and served with 257th Battery in the Middle East. He returned to the UK on 23rd of April 1945
