Spr. Percy Charles Rishman

British Army 698 Gen Construction Coy. Royal Engineers

from:63 Collyer Ave, Bognor Regis

(d.11th Jan 1941)

Percy Rishman is buried in Bognor Regis Cemetery

Percy Rishman (my Grandfather) enlisted at Portsmouth on 1st of September 1939. He is known to have served in northern France in Le Havre around time of Dunkirk. He died from injuries sustained when a bomb fell near him during a bombing raid at Portsmouth (believed to be 10th of January 1941). He was given a Military funeral following his death on 11th of January 1941.

Unfortunately I do not have a photo of him, and despite numerous attempts have been unable to find any details of his war time service other than an extract of his service records from M.O.D.
