PFC. Joe Bill Brown
US Army
from:Nicholas County, West Virginia
Joe B. Brown was taken prisoner in France. The story passed down in the family was that this occurred during the Battle of the Bulge.
He once talked about having to eat a rat to survive as a PoW.
He also mentioned a pilot by the name of Waycaster or something similar.
He said that he'd never forget the night that he was rescued or the pilot.
