He was in the 11th Bty., 1st Field Regiment, Royal Artillery and he was the son of Brigadier William Arthur Scales Turner, M.C., and Elsie Alice Turner (nee Margetson), of Westminster, London. He is buried at Keren War Cemetery, Eritrea.
