My late father, Edward Brogan served with the 12th Royal Lancers during World War 2 after transferring from the Royal Hampshire Regiment. Although he was very reluctant to talk about his war-time exploits he was a proud veteran of the XII. He drove an armoured car and served in the Africa and Italy campaigns. I am in possession of his 5 WW2 medals nd I also have 3 Christmas Day Lunch menus from the war (12th Royal Lancers). Sadly, that's all I know.
