Cpl. William Alfred Loftus

British Army 8th Btn. Royal Tank Regiment

We believe William Loftus was wounded in December 1941 He was listed as missing with 8th Royal Tank Regiment in the Western Desert Force in June 1942. Bill was then a PoW in Italy where the family story says he escaped and fought with the partisans. In Dec 1944 he was listed as no longer a PoW.

He lead a full and happy life with his wife and two children and died in 1978.
