A letter addressed to Sergeant George Tooth from Toronto dated 30th of April 1942 was returned to Canada with a note on the front saying he had failed to return from a mission on the 15th of May 1942. A standard sympathy label on the reverse. The Operational Record Book for 407 Squadron confirms this.
