Norman Gorton

My Uncle Norman Gorton served on HMS Musketeer on Atlantic Convoy duty and also in Malta (I have surviving snaps he took). His ship was involved at the sinking of the Scharnhorst 26th of December 1943, he had a small card signed by some survivors. In later years he spoke often of an incident when they had been hauling a body on board ship and the frozen hand snapped off, a memory still vivid in his 90s!
