Stanley Franklin Cleworth, an RCAF pilot, died on the 27th December 1943 at the age of 19. He is buried at Silloth (Causewayhead) Cemetery, Holme Low, Cumbria. RAF Silloth was the home base of 1 OTU from its formation the first of January 1940 until it moved to RAF Thornaby, Yorkshire on the 24th of March 1943.
S F Cleworth was the son of Charles Warburton Ingle and Ethel May Cleworth, and was listed on the Honour Roll at Malvern Collegiate Institute in Toronto.
