Wanted: Digital copies of Group photographs, Scrapbooks, Autograph books, photo albums, newspaper clippings, letters, postcards and ephemera relating to WW2. We would like to obtain digital copies of any documents or photographs relating to WW2 you may have at home. If you have any unwanted
photographs, documents or items from the First or Second World War, please do not destroy them.

P Macleod 1st Sqd. Northamptonshire Yeomanry P Macleod served with the 1st Sqd. Northamptonshire Yeomanry British Army. I have his unissued dogtags, made in preparation for deployment to the Far East and would love to get them home to his family. I am happy to cover all costs. Sgt. Ronald Chambers MM 2/8th Field Regiment Australian Engineers      I have a handmade photo album containing photographs and art work from prisoners held in Stalag XIIIC and Stalag XXA (357). The album is constructed from pieces of wood from a Red Cross box, handmade aluminium hinges, a 1940 drawing pad, and all tied together with a piece of leather strap. From the little bits of information on the back of some of the photos I have identified a few of the guys. All are from the Australian 9th Div, 2/8th Field Company (Engineers) captured on Crete:
- Fred Chambers
- Ron Chambers MM
- Allan Selwood
- Bob Maguire
- Oswald Wall
Oswald Wall is mentioned in the book "Silk and Bard Wire" in the chapter dealing with a radio/airgunner's escape, by Hamish Philson. Living in the RAF compound, Hamish switched uniforms with Oswald during a camp soccer match. Oswald then went into the RAF compound and Hamish went to the soldiers’ compound, which was apparently less well guarded.
One of the photos shows a group in soccer/sports gear with a German guard in the background. The hand-drawn menu lists several guests on the back, Oswald being one of them. The photo I like the most is the one of the guys inside the wooden hut, a glimpse of daily life in very trying times.

Leslie Israel 2/1st Battalion Leslie Israel sent a postcard to my mother Miss Norma Moon from Stalag 13C on 15th of August 1943.

Pte. William Sheridan Hedley 2/11th Btn. Australian Imperial Force During WW2, William Hedley fought in the Battle of Crete and was taken as a POW. He spent 4 years in Stalag XIII-C and was released when the war ended.
He came home to find that his wife had started a new life with another man, believing he was killed in action because 'Mr. Hedley's warm and affectionate letters' had ceased without apparent reason. His wife and family had not received any information about his capture.

PFC Laurie deCastro Ogilvie Coy H 310th Engineer Battalion My Father Laurie D. Ogilvie was captured on the 16th of December 1944 at the Siegfried Line during the Battle of the Bulge.
He was sent by cattle car to Stalag Xlllc.
He was wounded 18th of Dec trying to escape the camp and was liberated on 1st of May 1945.

Sgt. James Strauss "Nobby" Clark 3rd Btn. Transvaal Scottish Regiment James Clark arrived at Stalag XIIIC on 2nd of March 1945 after surviving the Death March from Stalag VIIIB.

Sgt. James Strauss "Nobby" Clark MM. 3rd Battalion Transvaal Scottish Regiment My grandfather-in-law, Sergeant James Clark, served with the 3 Transvaal Scottish, 5th South African Inf. 1st S.A. Brigade.
He survived the Lamsdorf death march and after been struck in the back with a rifle butt, he was rendered paralysed for a time. Were it not for his two NZ friends known only as George and Ronnie, who carried him on the death march, he would have been shot by Nazi soldiers. We are desperate to find out who these men were.
He was captured in Tobruk, Libya on 23rd of November 1941, he got moved from camp to camp, and escaped 7 times.
Here are some of the confirmed POW camps and dates:
- CC no. 66 PM 3400 - 14th Feb 1942
- CC no. 52 PM 3100 - 4th Apr 1942
- Stalag VIIIB - 29th Sep1943
- Stalag 344 - 12th Oct 1944
- Stalag XIIIC - 2nd Mar 1945

Otis "Ed" Logan Co. B 393rd Infantry Regiment My grandfather- Otis "Ed" Logan was a member of Co. B, 393rd Infantry Regiment. He was also captured Dec. 16th, 1944, at the first day of the Bulge. He was taken to a POW Camp Stalag 13x near tuttgard in Germany.
If anyone has any information on that Pow camp, or if they knew my Grandfather. (He passed away in 1986.) please get in touch.

Arthur Beedle My grandfather Arthur Beedle was at Stalag 13C in Hammelburg. He died in December, 1989. If anyone has any information or knew him, please get in touch.

Arthur Morgan Williams Anti-Tank Company 394th Infantry Regiment Arthur Morgan Williams of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. was of the US 99th Division, 394th infantry regiment, anti-tank company. He was taken prisoner on December 16th during the Battle of the Bulge and after stopping at several camps landed at Stalag XIIIC. I am conducting research into my grandfather's part in WWII, if you could share any information on the camp please let me know.

Pte. Richard Shreeve 2/11st Infantry Btn My grandfather Richard Shreeve was a private in the Australian Army in the 2/11 battalion. He was on Crete and was wounded in the arm but left the hospital to continue fighting up north where he was captured and became a POW. He spent many years in Stalag XIIIC in Germnay.
In 1945 they marched from Stettonlenlan on 1st April 1945. He escaped from Hofheim on 3rd April and reached Bad-Neustradelals on 8th April 1945, Bad Kissengen on 9th April, Manneheim on 10th, Paris on 11th April, Le Havre on 13th April and then went to St Andrews School in Sussex, England. He made a compass out of his toothpaste/brush holder.

Harry Little My father, Harry Little, survived the sinking of SS Orama. He was a POW in Stalag 13.

Percy H. Silcox I recently discovered that my Grandfather, Percy H. Silcox from Alabama, was a POW at Stalag 13C, Hammelburg Om Main, Bavaria 50-1. I have very little information regard his time there. If anyone has any information please contact me.
