British Army Royal Sussex Regiment
from:Burpham, West Sussex
Recently I acquired my dad's full Army Service records. Charles Bevis enlisted in the Royal Sussex Regiment in Febuary 1933 as a driver in Chichester, West Sussex. He was posted 3 times not readable. This is the following from his records;He was awarded the following Campaign Medals, Palestine 1936 to 1939, General Service Medal with clasp, British War Medal 39-45, Africa Star, Defence Medal 1939/45 and the France/Germany Star. Dad's discharge record R A S C records 31/10/1945, place Hastings 229 company R A S C, Armd Brigade

All I can say are 2 things thank you dad, and no wonder you never talked about the war you must of seen terrible things x
