P/O James Alexander Epp . Royal Canadian Air Force w/op (d.6th Jun 1942)
James Epp was killed during an air raid when a German ME-109 fighter/bomber aircraft attacked and hit the Anglo Swiss Hotel in Bournemouth on the 6th of June 1942. He is buried in Bournemouth North Cemetery along with fellow RCAF wireless operators James Morgan and Norman Bailey.

Private Erasmus was the Husband of J. A. Erasmus, of Paarl, Cape Province.
He was 45 and is buried in the Alicedale Cametery, Eastern Cape, South Africa

Sergeant (Wireless Op./Air Gunner) Frederick Erdwin is buried in the north-east corner of the Blessington (St. Mary) Church of Ireland Churchyard in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. From Frodshim, Cheshire, later living at Old Trafford, Manchester. He was orphaned at an early age and was reared with his sister in a National Children's Home. He joined the RAF in 1938 and was trained as a wireless operator at RAf Cranwell.

Edward Eriksen was my fathers brother, Uncle Eddie. On a recent holiday in Plymouth I found his name on the War Memorial.He is still well remembered by the family and I was very emotional when I found his name.

Sergeant (Flight Engineer) Kenneth Erne was the son of Frank and Annie Erne of Boldre, Hampshire. He was aged 20 when he died and is buried in a Collective grave in the Reerslev Churchyard in Denmark.

Ernest Victor Erridge . British Army 1st Battalion Queens Royal West Surrey Regiment from Eastbourne, East Sussex
My father Ernest Erridge was born 12th February 1913 in Eastbourne, East Sussex. When dad was young he moved to London with his mother. He was a barrow boy and was selling fruit and vegetables around the Tooting area.
He joined the Army as a young boy at the age of sixteen, he had lied about his age by a year, so he could join the services. He always said it was the best years of his life and wouldn't have changed it. In the Army, he was the Lightweight Champion Boxer of his Regiment. He served aboard a lot serving in Egypt, India, China. After the Quetta Earthquake in 1934, his Regiment was sent to give help.
When WWII broke out he was coming down the gang plank of a ship and was told to turn around because War had been declared. During the war he was in the desert driving lorries taking water to other units. I do not know a lot about his army career, whether he changed units etc. I know snippets of what he has told the family. One of his friends in the army, he used to talk about was called Dickie Brunt.
Drv. George Elliot Errington . British Army Royal Corps of Signals (d.17th April 1942)
George Errington died aged 31. Born in Jarrow in 1911, he was the son of of George Elliot and Alice Errington (nee Smith) of Jarrow.
Groge is buried in Jarrow Cemetery and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.

P/O J E Errington J24872 was a pilot based at Middleton St George now Teeside airport and flew Halifax`s from this base for 419 RCAF Moose Squadron.
Frmn. Jacob Brunton Errington . Merchant Navy SS Lackenby (d.25th Jan 1943)
J B Errington died aged 37, when teh SS Lacenby was sunk. He was born in Tynemouth in 1905, the son of George and Jane Errington of 26 Walter Street Jarrow.
He is remembered on the Tower Hill Memorial and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.

My great grandfather John Errington apparently served with the REME, but I cannot find any information regarding his service anywhere. From what I have been told he served in Egypt and Iraq during the Second World War. It is extremely strange as I have easily found information regarding other family members. Hopefully someone will be able to help me.

Captain Erroll was the 22nd Earl of Erroll. Son of Victor Alexander Sereld Hay, K.C.M.G., 21st Earl of Erroll, and of Lucy, Countess of Erroll. He was 39 when he was murdered and is buried in the Kiambu (St. Paul) Churchyard in Kenya.
Lt. Ahmet Ersin . Turkish Army
I am looking for anyone who may have come into contact with my grandfather, a Turkish Lieutenant pilot in training at RAF Cranwell in 1943-44, Group 1. His name was Ahmet Ersin. He was a Lt. in the Turkish Army before his training over here. I understand that there were many pilots from other allied countries there at the same time. I would like to hear from anyone who remembers them.
Capt. Donald Seymour Erskine . British Army Royal Artillery from Scotland
Major Gen. Ian David Erskine DSO MID.. British Army 2nd Btn. Scots Guards from St. Clement's House, Sandwich, Kent, England
Ian David Erskine fought in the First World War and was Brigade Major of the 1st Guards Brigade between 1935 and 1939. He was mentioned in dispatches twice. He was commander of the 2nd Battalion, Scots Guards in 1940. He was commander of the 22nd Guards Brigade in 1941. He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1941. He gained the rank of Brigadier in 1942. He gained the rank of Major-General in 1945.
